ExperienceI am an avid reader and I also enjoy creative writing, and that is what led me to begin tutoring. In college, I started helping friends with writing assignments and graduate school personal statements, and I found that I really enjoyed helping others become better writers. However, it wasn't until after college that I began tutoring in an official capacity. I worked with student athletes and provided tutoring for English, History, and Mythology courses. I truly believe that everyone is capable of being a good student and writer, but many students have not been given the proper tools or instruction. I feel it is my job to find any gaps in instruction and help students develop the needed skills to move forward with confidence. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia, where I earned degrees in English and History. I'm passionate about history (I particularly love Tudor England), and absolutely love to share my knowledge and excitement with others. When I tutor students in history courses, I do my best to make the material come alive. There is so much that can be learned from any era, and I hope to help others see how truly relevant history can be.
