An elementary school teacher who is certified, I have earned an M.A. from Lesley University in elementary education. As for my certification, I took the required exam to teach grades one through six. I also took and passed the certification exam for English as a second language. These certifications, not to mention my post-secondary education, have provided me with the skills I need to be effective at my job.My career has seen me serve as a teacher for elementary schools, in the capacity of a substitute instructor, and as a summer school teacher. Additionally, I have also spearheaded an after-school program designed for children from kindergarten to grade five. My experiences also include teaching kids in middle school at an education facility, and teaching literacy skills through AmeriCorps.My strong background in working with children has allowed me to help students in high school as well as college in subjects such as American history and writing. At present, I primarily assist people in high school and post-secondary school. I also work in Boston, Massachusetts, as an ESL teacher, and my job has required me to assist with classes in writing and American culture.When I'm enjoying some downtime, I like to write, experience other cultures, read up on history, and go camping.
