Experience
I've had some limited experience with formal one-on-one tutoring, but I have taught college courses in photography, computer software and web design for more than a decade. In the past, I've also been a journalist and editor, so have experience working and teaching others about writing. Now I work in higher education as a Chief Information Officer, but this doesn't give me a lot of direct contact with students, which I miss - as a result, I'm thinking that tutoring would allow me to get back into some more personal educational experiences.

Hobbies
I'm an avid photographer, but at times in the past I've been a skiier, participated in theater and choral music productions. I've traveled to Europe and Asia. I've got an adult daughter who's completing her last year of college, so I've seen the entire college-search to graduation process. I've got some geek in my background - I like science fiction and computer gaming - but I also appreciate art and music. I'm not too judgmental, but I'm willing to call out a student who's dodging work or procrastinating.
